Hictu re-launches

Hictu had been on the micro blogging scene for a while, way before Seesmic etc… but they decided it was time for a change so they have released Version 2.0.2 with some new features. The site has been rebranded as a unique service for microbloggers who can create small blogs, which contain text, audio and video.
Some of the new features in the Hictu update include a new and improved user interface with the ability to start conversations around any youtube and google videos you post. Like seesmic now they also have a Wordpress plugin and a video commenting widget for your blog’s sidebar. You can also link your Twitter account to Hictu and dual post, AND the service integrate jahjah, which allows you to make calls to your friends from the computer or mobile phone
Moods are also a new feature for Hictu, you can choose from a number of emoticons to share your mood with your friends. Oh and they have released the api for the platform so if you are a developer you can integrate Hictu into 3rd party applications.
The site design for me is not my cup of tea but it’s jam packed with features, overall nice impovements. If you want to try in out but cannot sign up for Hictu send me a direct message on Twitter with your email address and I will send you an invite through.
