A tool I had used previously is Twerpscan - http://twerpscan.com/ - which helps identify those with funky follow:followers ratios, etc but Twitter has shut off their API access. Ev and Stone - if you are reading this - please turn it back on. The service will help reduce the spam. the blacklists are nice, but tools like this help you catch people quickly.

Another suggestion for Twitter - when showing a profile, why not display the number of people who have blocked someone?  If someone has been blocked 50 times, it&#039;s a pretty clear sign they&#039;re a spammer.</description>
