Tweet Crunch

Now if you’re thinking this would be a site dedicated to people with stiff joints, you might be wrong, Roomatic is an experiment to create a chat-room like UI on top of twitter

It uses as they describe the Twitter Search JSON API to poll for Twitter updates with the room’s name in it. Posts from Roomatic are automatically marked with the room name. Room names can also be full urls (for example: http://tinyurl.com/3c9ljq).

Users can also use #hashtags to differentiate rooms and help narrow conversations (use %23 in front of the room name).

This would make for an ideal event follower, I’ve tried it out on the iPhone and Safari scales it okay the only problem is that you cannot scroll up and down the conversation. But I guess it wasn’t made for that, overall  nice little experiment.
