Twitter your updates in Video with Twiddeo

For a while 12seconds has been dubbed the Video Twitter, but a new service run by vSocial called Twiddeo, currently in beta will bring videos to your Twitter updates. Twiddeo was first created as a proof-of-concept mash-up, after receiving some great feedback they decided that it would be worthwhile to redevelop the UI and integrate some new features.

VSocial have been in the online video space for a while and they bring their own media player and api to the table mixing it with the Twitter API and the Disqus commenting system. Here is a random video I took from the Twiddeo main page so you can see the video player itself.

To start using Twiddeo simply sign into the site using your twitter username and pass. You can update via the web interface (using your webcam) or with the unique email address provided you could upload via your mobile phone, the max upload size for videos is 100mb so you can cram a good sized video in there, although if you are on a mobile a good data plan might be required.

Another great feature of Twiddeo is you can with the GreaseMonkey script view Twiddeos direct from the Twitter website

This is looking really sharp and with the API available we could see some more new features and 3rd party developments in the future. No invite is required to use the service so if you’re into Twitter and Video give it a try, it seems like a good combination.
